For several years, we had been in search
of a bottle tree similar to those we'd seen in Southern gardens. The
belief is that evil spirits are captured in the bottles, and good
spirits will enter your yard. We found one we envisioned, and the
owners were kind enough to let us take a picture. We were unable to
find someone to create our tree until we met Jodi and Derek in their
Pipe Dream Designs booth at the Illinois State Master Gardeners
convention. They took our idea and created their version. They were
wonderful to work with, and were receptive to changes we suggested.
Jodi and Derek were also willing to bring our bottle tree to a show they
were participating in, which was closer to our home, rather than us
driving to them. We LOVE our commissioned piece, and will certainly use
and recommend Jodi and Derek for any further handcrafted metal art
